A Guide to the Sale Process
- Supplying information to you and those involved with the transaction
- Obtaining title deeds and drafting and submitting a contract to the Buyer’s solicitors together with the Fixtures and Contents Form and Property Information Form
- Dealing with any specific enquiries raised by the Buyer’s Solicitors
- Submitting the Contract and formal Transfer Deed to you for signing in preparation for exchange of contracts
- When everyone is ready, and moving dates have been agreed, exchanging contracts. This is when you are legally obliged to proceed with the transaction and set a completion date.
- Making the pre-completion legal arrangements and obtaining a mortgage redemption statement for your mortgage.
- Formal Completion – the day you actually move
- Discharge any mortgage attached to the property and accounting to you for the balance of sale proceeds.
