Terry Griffin

Consultant Solicitor

Regulatory & Compliance

With over 30 years experience as a solicitor and business adviser. Terry is a consultant solicitor and leads the Regulatory team, supporting clients with all their regulatory needs.

During his extensive career Terry assisted clients across a wide array of civil and commercial disputes in addition to his work within the regulatory sphere, bringing a depth of commercial understanding and awareness to benefit his clients.

Terry’s regulatory experience is predominantly contentious. He has extensive experience representing individuals, businesses (including representing the farming community in respect of investigation), attending interviews under caution and dealing with prosecutions for alleged breaches in Magistrates and Crown Courts brought by the following statutory bodies :

  • Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
  • Trading Standards Agency
  • Environmental Agency
  • Local Authority Enforcement Departments
  • Fire and Rescue Authority

He has also dealt with Inquests in Coroners Courts and assisted a client with regard to evidence provided to the Grenfell Inquiry.

Terry, who is also a qualified civil and commercial mediator, was formerly a head of department at a large regional solicitors practice.

Outside of work you can find me…

Inspired by the exploits of Sir Bradley Wiggins in the tour de France and Olympics, Terry became a born again cyclist taking part in several sportives including Manchester to Blackpool, Etape Caledonia and the Coast to Coast cycle route cycling from Whitehaven to Sunderland.

Terry also attempts to play guitar in his spare time, where opinion is divided as to his ability.  Terry continues to play nonetheless.
