We’re proud to announce that Kerry Southworth has become a qualified solicitor with the firm after completing her training.
Kerry initially joined us in 2015 in a paralegal role, then trained as a legal executive before going on to qualify as a solicitor this year.
Working in the corporate and commercial team, Kerry’s role covers mergers and acquisitions as well as share reorganisations, employee share options and commercial drafting. She is also a specialist in intellectual property.
“The support I’ve had throughout my training has been excellent,” comments Kerry, who is based at our Preston office. “The firm adopted an innovative approach for my final two years, allowing me to specialise in corporate and commercial law. I’m delighted to be the first person in the firm to qualify using this new programme and thrilled to be part of such a forward-thinking firm with so many opportunities.
“I particularly like the team culture and the high calibre of clients at Harrison Drury. Being able to work with my colleagues across a number of offices in the North West and sharing a social life too, makes it a great place to work.”
Kerry, pictured below with head of the corporate team, David Filmer, is a proud Prestonian. She gained her law degree at University of Central Lancashire before also completing her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the university.
David Filmer, director and head of the corporate team at Harrison Drury, said: “Kerry has really impressed us, demonstrating a keen commitment to developing her technical knowledge and ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
“She delivers a great service to our clients, while positively contributing to our culture and values. We want to ensure Kerry and all our trainees build a great and long-lasting career with us.”
