Heather Morris

Partner

Insolvency & Restructuring

Heather is a Partner in the insolvency team having joined Harrison Drury in 2025.

After completing her Law degree at Lancaster University and  the Legal Practice Course in Christleton, Heather went on to qualify as a solicitor and work for large national and international firms and in house.

With over 15 years of legal experience, Heather’s most recent role was that of in-house counsel providing insolvency support to a private equity fund and so she is well adept in advising any stakeholder involved in an insolvency situation from Insolvency Practitioners, litigation funders, lenders, boards or creditors to individuals, often on very time sensitive matters.

Heather has a focus on contentious insolvency proceedings both corporate and personal and is regularly instructed to issue and defend applications made under the Insolvency Act 1986. These claims include breach of duty, transactions at an undervalue, preferences, wrongful and fraudulent trading and possession proceedings.

Heather is a member of R3 the insolvency trade body.

Outside of work you can find me…

Outside of work Heather can be found in the fells of the Lake District and has just reached half way in her quest to complete all of the 214 Wainwrights.

Harrison Drury is ranked by both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500, two leading independent guides to the UK’s top legal firms and solicitors.

These guides highlight the solicitors who are providing the most cutting-edge and innovative advice to clients and we are ranked across our range of practice areas and people.
