Corporate Social Responsibility

At Harrison Drury, we strongly believe that our firm plays a vital role in making a positive difference in creating healthy and thriving communities.

Our initiatives are designed to support communities and protect the environment, reflecting our commitment to a brighter, more sustainable future. With a friendly and compassionate approach, we actively support and engage in projects that enhance community wellbeing and promote environmental sustainability.

We believe that by investing our time and resources into these initiatives, we’re not only enriching the lives of those around us, but also nurturing a legacy of care and responsibility for future generations. Harrison Drury’s CSR team is made up of a cross-section of members from our business, who all contribute to its success. The team is led by Rebecca Patience, with representatives from each division in the firm, who all work closely to deliver the firms vision of creating a positive impact within the communities in which we operate.

Our Community

At Harrison Drury, we are committed to making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work by giving something back to charities, not-for-profit organisations, community groups and education providers, whether it’s through financial donations, pro-bono advice or simply by volunteering our time to help out.

Every year, each branch office nominates a local cause to support. Through a combination of salary sacrifice, planned fundraising activities and volunteering, we’re invested in the creating healthy and thriving communities.

Caring for the Environment

At Harrison Drury, we’re passionate about sustainability and the environment. We recognise the importance of working in an ethical and sustainable way, in a manner that has a positive impact on the environment in which we live and work.

Though we don’t produce a tangible product, the delivery of our service can have an impact on the environment. As a result, our firm is dedicated to ensuring that our operations have a minimal ecological footprint, reflecting our responsibility towards the planet.

In our pursuit of eco-conscious practices, we ensure that all tea and coffee in our staff kitchens are organic and sourced from fair trade suppliers. Additionally, we procure milk from local dairies, delivered in reusable glass bottles, aligning with our sustainable ethos. Our commitment extends to using bathroom supplies made from sustainable bamboo, including toilet paper, tissues, and hand towels.

Our office refurbishments are conducted with an eye towards sustainability, opting for second-hand and upcycled furniture whenever possible, and donating items we no longer need to local charities. We are also transitioning to energy-efficient LED lighting and installing motion sensors in communal areas to further reduce our energy consumption.

Waste reduction and recycling are integral to our environmental strategy. Each office is equipped with comprehensive recycling facilities, and we are exploring the implementation of a composting program. We have established partnerships to recycle used printer cartridges and batteries, reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable future.
