Understanding Legal Apprenticeships

A legal apprenticeship integrates study with on the job training. This is an excellent opportunity to qualify as a solicitor whilst gaining valuable and varied work experience in a challenging yet supportive legal environment. The apprenticeship provides a salary and the chance to develop a long-term career at one of North West’s leading law firms.

Our Apprenticeship Programme

The six-year HD legal apprenticeship programme steadily builds towards qualification as a solicitor by studying initially the Level 3 Paralegal and then Level 7 Solicitor apprenticeships. This is the same time period as qualifying through the traditional route.

Entry requirements

Candidates should have a strong academic and extra-curricular record.

  • Legal Apprenticeship BBB A level (or equivalent) and 5 grade 5 GCSEs or above.
  • Graduate legal apprenticeship as above, and a 2:1 law degree or GDL and 2:1 non-law degree.
