We’re delighted to announced that Alex Walmsley has become a qualified solicitor after completing his two years of training with the firm.
Alex, who joined us in 2016, has completed seats in various departments during his training and is now specialising in property and construction litigation within our Property & Construction team.
“The many years of studying and training have been worth it. I’m thrilled to be a qualified solicitor working for one of the top law firms in the region,” comments Alex, who is based at our Preston office.
“I had followed Harrison Drury for a number of years before joining the firm and was inspired by the values the firm has in looking after its staff and clients.”
Alex, who lives in Croston, gained a degree from the University of the West of England in Bristol before going on to complete the Legal Practice Course. Alongside his LPC Alex also gained a Masters of Science degree in Law, Business and Management.
“I began to take a keen interest in commercial and corporate law during my undergraduate studies and it grew from there. My postgraduate studies and the experience I’ve had working in a law firm have given me a deeper awareness and understanding of what drives our commercial clients.
“I decided to specialise in property litigation because it’s such a critical area of law that affects all of us one way or another – whether we own the building, or live and work in it. It offers an enormous amount of satisfaction helping clients to resolve what can often be complex and technical issues.”
