Harrison Drury announces 2024 line up of charity partners
Harrison Drury has nominated seven charities to support in 2024 as part of its commitment to improve the health and wellbeing of its local communities.
Each year, our regional teams take part in various fundraising activities to raise money for local charities that support the communities in which they live and work.
For 2024 our new Manchester office has selected Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, which supports families with children who have terminal or life-threatening illnesses.
The Preston office has chosen Derian House Children’s Hospice, that provides respite and end-of-life care to over 400 babies, children and young people across the North West.
The Lancaster office will be supporting Lancaster and District Homeless Action Service, who offer support for those who are homeless or experiencing housing poverty.
The Garstang office has selected Garstang Memory Café, a free drop-in centre for those living with dementia where they can receive support and information on living with the disease.
The Kendal office is supporting Carer Support South Lakes, an independent charity which aims to improve the lives of unpaid carers and support their health and wellbeing.
The Clitheroe office has chosen Milly’s Smiles, a charity that donates care packages to children who have been diagnosed with cancer at hospitals in Manchester, Alder Hey, Leeds and Nottingham.
And the Lytham office has selected Trinity Hospice, a leading palliative care provider which operates across the Fylde Coast, supporting individuals with serious illnesses to improve their quality of life.

Associate solicitor Rebecca Patience, who leads the firm’s community team, said: “We’re always looking to strengthen our commitment to the communities we operate in.
“With the launch of the Manchester office, we are now fundraising for seven charities that each do fantastic work across the region. In 2022 we raised over £6,000, last year it was over £8,000, and we are aiming to top that once again in 2024.”
Last year, through a combination of raffles, busking, baking and volunteer work, our regional teams raised a total of £8,479.16, which was donated to six local charities.
Alongside fundraising activity, our colleagues take part in a ‘dress-down Friday’ every last Friday of the month, with money raised donated to the office’s nominated charity – they also make voluntary contributions towards a social fund which the firm matches.
The firm also offers a voluntary time off policy that allows staff to take two days’ paid leave each year to carry out volunteer work for a charity of their choice.
