We’re proud to announce that Harrison Drury has nominated five charities across the region to support throughout the year.

In 2019 team members walked, raced and baked to contribute to a grand total of £7,700 for charities including St Catherine’s Hospice, North West Blood Bikes, Unique Kidz & Co, Team ShazzAnn and East Lancashire Hospice.

This year the firm aims to raise up to £10,000 for its chosen charities.

For 2020, the Preston office has selected Rosemere Cancer Foundation, a charity based at Royal Preston Hospital that supports world class cancer treatment throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The Lancaster office is supporting St John’s Hospice, which provides free palliative care to patients with life shortening conditions.

The Kendal office has opted for Animal Rescue Cumbria that helps to re-house lost, homeless and unwanted pets.

The team at Garstang has chosen to continue supporting Team ShazzAnn, a team dedicated to organising several local events throughout the year to raise money for a number of charities across Lancashire.

Meanwhile, the Clitheroe office will carry on supporting East Lancashire Hospice, who provide many services for people with a life-limiting illness as well as supporting their families and other people important to them.

Each Harrison Drury office will continue with its ‘Dress Down Friday’ every last Friday of the month and the firm operates a salary sacrifice to match fundraising contributions.

Harrison Drury has also formalised a voluntary time off policy to enable staff members two days’ paid leave each year to carry out volunteer work for a charity of their choice.

Solicitor Rebecca Patience, who leads the firm’s community values team, said: “This year we are focusing our efforts on raising as much money as possible for charities close to the hearts of our people.

“We continue to be amazed at how willing our people are to dedicate their time to arrange and be involved in some fantastic events in aid of these great causes. Building on this foundation of goodwill we hope to raise even more money in 2020 to help support those who need it most.”
