Harrison Drury has opened a brand new office in Garstang as we look to buck a recent trend which has seen several legal practices close in the town.

Our new office is located on Park Hill Road, Garstang, adjacent to the new Booths supermarket, and will provide a full range of commercial and private client services.

Solicitor Andrew Bartlett, who originally trained, qualified and worked at Harrison Drury from 1976-1988 will head up the office. He will be joined by Heather Wood, a legal executive, and secretaries, Tracy Rhodes and Liz Stephens. All four join from Turner Pearson Solicitors. Specialists from Harrison Drury’s other offices will also spend time at the Garstang office.

John Chesworth, Harrison Drury’s managing partner, said: “Garstang is a thriving town with an established centre and a rich crop of good businesses within a ten mile radius, but there is a lack of firms offering a full range of commercial and private client services to represent them.

“Harrison Drury is a growing law firm and we have been looking at Garstang for more than 12 months as part of our expansion plans. Our research revealed that many companies and people in the area were disappointed that so many law firms have left the town so we believe there is a real market for our services.

“The key to our success will be appointing Garstang people who are specialists in their field but with invaluable knowledge of the local area and marketplace who will be supported by one of the region’s longest-established and most ambitious law firms.

“This is great news for Garstang, its people and business community and we are delighted to be here to support the town and its economy.”

Andrew Bartlett added: “With the infrastructure, investment and passion of Harrison Drury, I am confident we can achieve great things. As someone who is from Garstang, I’ve always felt strongly that Garstang businesses and people want and need good advisers on their doorstep.

“Several prominent local businesses such as Booths Supermarkets, Dewlay Cheesemakers and Barton Grange have made massive investments into the local area and we are delighted to be continuing this trend.”
