Harrison Drury opens Ribble Valley office following merger
Harrison Drury, has opened its fifth office following a merger with Clitheroe law firm, DLH Solicitors.
The merger will see DLH’s founder and managing partner, Dominic Hester, join Harrison Drury’s team as a consultant, with his small team transferring over.
DLH, based in Church Street, specialises solely in business law including property law, employment law and business disputes. The firm was founded in 2010 and acts for clients across the UK. Harrison Drury’s Clitheroe office will continue to operate under the DLH Solicitors brand.
Speaking on the merger, Dominic Hester said: “The demand for specialist legal advice for businesses in the Ribble Valley area is huge and our Clitheroe office has potential for further growth. I wanted to put something in place that expanded our capacity quickly, gave our clients access to a wider range of business law specialists and the office a solid infrastructure for growth.
“We already have a close working relationship with Harrison Drury and I went to college with its principal, John Chesworth, while other members of the firm are from this area. They have the same high standards for client care so the move is a natural fit.”
John Chesworth, managing partner of Harrison Drury, added: “Our Ribble Valley client base has grown over the past two years so it felt the right strategic move to have a base here. Dominic has a fantastic reputation and we are delighted to have agreed the tie-up.”
Harrison Drury has offices in Preston, Garstang, Kendal and Lancaster. It won the Lancashire Business View Legal Team of the Year award in 2014, while also scooping Downtown Lancashire in Business’s Best Legal Company of the Year award.
