Harrison Drury strengthens corporate team in Manchester with senior associate appointment

Harrison Drury has bolstered its corporate team and continued its expansion in Manchester with the appointment of senior associate solicitor Jennifer Murphy.
Jennifer, who joins the corporate team from TLT, where she spent over five years, will advise our growing client base on a range of mergers, sales and acquisitions.
She also has significant experience in transactions involving private equity and venture capital, advising institutional investors and management teams on venture and growth capital investments.
Jennifer’s appointment takes the headcount in our Manchester office, which opened in January last year, to 24 while our corporate team across the North West now numbers 18, including five partners.
Rick Life, Jennifer Murphy and Mark Traynor.
Mark Traynor, corporate partner and head of our corporate team, said: “Our team has grown quickly on the back of significant client demand and strategic recruitment that has enabled us to deliver outstanding work for clients and build strong relationships with the dealmaking community.
“With Jennifer’s considerable M&A expertise, which includes handling some complex transactions, we’re further growing our reputation as a trusted partner and go-to team for corporate transactional work in the region and further afield.”
Rick Life, corporate partner in our Manchester office, adds: “Jennifer’s appointment is another exciting milestone in our Manchester journey and we’re delighted to be working with Jennifer again having previously worked alongside her for many years.
“As well as a growing corporate team, we’re now able to offer a full range of other commercial and private client legal services, just over a year after opening, which is a testament to the reputation Harrison Drury has built as a destination for outstanding careers.”
Jennifer said: “Harrison Drury has made a real impact in Manchester over the past year. What attracted me to the firm was not just the opportunity of working with Rick and Mark again, but the quality of work the team is delivering and its commitment to supporting people and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
“I’m excited to dive into my new role and help to build on the work that the corporate team have already been doing.”
Recent appointments in Manchester have included employment solicitor Lauren Wood, head of commercial business Rory O’Hare, and insolvency partner Heather Morris.
