Harrison Drury has named Lucy Benton as the new head of its Kendal office, reflecting the firm’s commitment to fostering and developing future leaders.

Lucy will focus on cultivating strong connections within the local professional community, promoting community initiatives, and continue to support clients.

Lucy takes over from John Osborne, who will remain in a senior role and focus on leading our family law team. John has been pivotal in establishing the Kendal office as a hub for high-quality legal services in the area.

A senior associate solicitor in our commercial property team, Lucy is renowned for her expertise in advising both landlords and tenants on a range of matter including new leases, renewing or assigning existing leases, and managing secured lending, particularly concerning large multi-let retail properties.

Her dedication to delivering clear, practical advice has made her a trusted advisor to a wide range of clients across the South Lakeland region.

John Osborne, head of the family law team at Harrison Drury, said: “Lucy’s appointment is a testament to her exceptional leadership skills and strong connections within the local community.

“She has been instrumental in building relationships with clients and colleagues alike, and I’m confident she will continue to drive the success of our Kendal office. I look forward to watching her develop and support the team going forward.”

Lucy adds: “I’m excited about the opportunity to lead our team here in Kendal. Since we opened in 2015, we’ve built such a strong connection with the community, working with many clients on multiple occasions. I’m looking forward to building on that foundation and continuing to provide first class support to our clients in the area.”

The promotion highlights our commitment to recognising and nurturing talent within the firm, ensuring that clients benefit from experienced and well-connected leaders at the helm of each office.
