Emma is a Partner in our Employment and HR Team and joined Harrison Drury in January 2024. Prior to joining us, Emma worked for national law firm Gateley Legal having qualified as a Solicitor in 2009. Emma supports clients in a range of sectors and has many years of experience advising plcs, retailers, sports and media organisations, and those operating in the logistics sector.

She has vast experience of Employment Tribunal litigation spending much of her career acting for clients defending claims and she has been instructed on a number of high profile and sensitive matters. Emma also has considerable experience of acting for individuals in particularly complex Tribunal litigation including claims concerning whistleblowing and discrimination. She advises senior executives and companies on a variety of senior management matters including service agreements and negotiating exit packages and terms.

Her non contentious expertise includes advising on all employee relations matters, TUPE, large scale restructures, drafting contractual documentation and on the enforceability of restrictive covenants. She also has experience of industrial relations law and advising clients who recognise trade unions. Emma particularly enjoys writing about current employment law issues and delivering training sessions on a variety of topical and employment law matters.

Emma was recognised as a Next Generation Partner in the Legal 500 2023 rankings having previously been recognised as a Legal 500 Rising Star.

Outside of work you can find me…

Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time with family and friends. Emma also has a passion for travel and enjoys playing tennis, indulging in a spot of cookery and all things relating to interior design and renovation.
