Jake McLaughlin

Jake joined Harrison Drury in March 2025, having trained and qualified at BBS Law, where he worked across the Manchester and London offices. Jake specialises in secured lending, having previously worked closely with a large national lending company for a number of years, prior to him joining BBS Law. Jake has acted for a variety of lenders from leading bridging lenders to private investors. He is also experienced in acting for borrower’s and has dealt with a wide range of loans involving purchases, sales, re-finances and new developments. Jakes is well versed in acting for borrowers and lenders on a dual representation basis.

Jakes experience also covers purchases and sales of buy to let, commercial and high-end residential property for investor clients. His background includes assisting landlord and tenants on new Leases and Licences to Assign. Jake acts for a number of clients including companies, investors, lending institutions and individuals, who appreciate Jakes ability to work well under pressure and his due diligence on matters with tight deadlines covering a variety of complexities.

Outside of work you can find me…

Outside of work, Jakes interests are in architecture and interior design, having previously worked as a Design Consultant for a leading high end Italian furniture brand. He also enjoys long walks in the countryside with his dog Alfie.
