John leads Recruitment for Harrison Drury which includes talent attraction, talent acquisition and staff retention. This can include long-term workforce planning, strategic recruitment and servicing immediate demands. John also oversees Harrison Drury’s successful Trainee Solicitor and Apprentice Solicitor recruitment programmes each year. Following John joining HD in 2023, he played an integral role in the implementation of in-house recruitment at the company.

He was recently voted by his peers as Harrison Drury’s “Best Newcomer” at their annual awards night, something he was very honoured and proud to receive following a very busy start to his career at HD.

Prior to a career in-house, John spent a number of years working his way up the agency-recruitment ladder which led to leading a large team of recruiters at Hays.

John has a good understanding of the law having once upon a time studied CILEX at the Blackburn University Centre and this assists him greatly with his day-to-day job.

Outside of work you can find me…

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his young family, and focusing on fitness and health. He recently completed his first Marathon in Manchester and also enjoys strength training and cycling.

There are rumours that he may come out of retirement to play in the occasional 7-a-side football match, but these are yet to be confirmed.
