Employment & HRLauren qualified in September 2023 and prior to her training contract spent 3 years as a Paralegal at an International law firm in Manchester.
Lauren’s focus is primarily commercial employment law dealing with both contentious and non-contentious matters, supporting both employers and employees. She advises clients on Employment Tribunal Claims, as well as drafting Contracts of Employment and Staff Handbooks. In addition to project work, Lauren provides day-to-day advice on HR and employment issues including but not limited to, recruitment, the grievance and disciplinary process and performance and sickness absence management.
She also assists in providing strategic support to businesses on complex corporate restructures, including redundancy, business sales/acquisitions, outsourcing and TUPE, working alongside our Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams.
Outside of work you can find me…
Outside of work, Lauren is a mentor as part of the Manchester Young Professionals, mentoring scheme. Lauren is also a keen runner having participated in half marathon races and is soon to complete her first marathon. She also enjoys going to the gym, doing yoga and Pilates. She spends her weekends with friends and family and enjoys travelling.
