Martin Stafford

Martin has over 20 years’ experience in commercial litigation having worked at large national firms until 2016 when he relocated to Lancaster.

Martin has acted in a range of contentious matters from shareholder and partnership disputes to claims against financial institutions for mis-selling of financial products. Martin has acted in complicated property disputes concerning the division of family businesses and disputes as to boundary locations, rights of way and other significant property rights.

Martin has acted in contentious probate disputes for a range of estates and beneficiaries. Martin was appointed a Deputy District Judge in the Northern Circuit in May 2020.

Outside of work you can find me…

Martin’s main interest away from work is providing a chauffeur service for his children. When time allows he combines this with watching football with them or taking them to watch various bands, some of which they have even heard of.
