Solicitor

Insolvency & Restructuring

Peter is a solicitor within the Insolvency and Restructuring team at Harrison Drury. He works closely with range of clients including high value individuals, distressed businesses, insolvency practitioners, and other stakeholders to resolve a wide range of insolvency related issues. Peter specialises in the acquisition and disposal of assets from insolvent companies, dealing with any property and contractual related issues which may arise. Recently, Peter advised on a rescue deal of a business which manages restaurants in Liverpool and Cardiff, resulting in the safeguarding of approximately 90 jobs.

Additionally, Peter advises on a range of contentious insolvency matters, having gained experience in running court claims, applications, legal investigations and delivering advice in high profile bankruptcy matters.

Recent highlights include acting on behalf of a creditor to present a winding up petition to recover a significant unpaid debt, acting for national insolvency practitioners in pursuing misfeasance and antecedent transactions claims totaling over £600,000 and assisting in obtaining a highly unusual High Court decision to allow a once insolvent company to be returned to its directors and a significant surplus which had accrued in the course of the liquidation to be paid to the company’s parent.
